That is the question.

Which would you recommend ? Thanks.

I mainly watch Netflix and Blu Rays.

Depends on the distance and scenario. For multiple people, large room and movie events a projector is nice.

For everyday viewing where you want enough ambient light to see in the room, TV every time.

A projector is just a cheaper/possible way to make a huge screen size. It will never be as high quality an image as even the cheapest of modern TVs.

Only me mostly. Large room definitely and movie events.

Will TVs ever get cheaper at 100" + ?

I recommend Projector for your dedicated light controlled home theater room and a TV for any other room.

picture quality goes to TV but size of course to laser projector. If i had money to spend on both i would get the short throw laser projectors they have now for about 3000. Hell maybe they will or do have 8k ones for 5000, how much are you spending? if its less than 1200 then TV! more then 2000.. laser projector. Maybe a budget one for 1300

If you can control your lighting (super dark room) with lots of burn in prevention (lower brightness no taskbar etc... ) I'd go oled but if normal bright room qled looks great.
