Project Spark shutting down for good on August 12

Seems MS is killing a lot of projects lately. Don't know if anyone actually used this here but It is interesting to see so many projects and even an entire studio(Lionhead Studios) disappear lately under MS' direction.

Anyone who owns the "game" will get a credit to their account when the services go down.

Yep, MS has basically killed everything that isn't Rare (who hasn't produced much of anything in its, like, 10 years with MS), Halo, Gears, Forza, or Minecraft. Everything else that's exclusive appears to be second-party, like Dead Rising, Ryse, Screamride, Quantum Break, ReCore, and Scalebound. It means we might not see much in the way of XB1 sequels, because it's hard to see those devs living under the MS umbrella with the hardware numbers the way they are. Instead, we'll probably see stuff like how Platinum just does mostly one-offs for everyone, along with how Titanfall 2 went multi-platform. It might suck to look at XB1 as something other than a gun/car fan very shortly.
