I don't think it would be a sham if Daniel didn't win, maybe if Santino won, but I wouldn't mind seeing Chloe win.

Well Daniel has won like 5 contest I think... he certainly has performed the best to-date. But I guess it all matters what you bring to the big-dance. Chloe doesn't even really want it. We all know that in shows like this, all you have to do is make it to the final few and your life is 100% changed from that day forward. Look at Austin (if you can) from the previous season. He was horrible, didn't even make it to the final show and he's still some "figure" and nameplate. Ugh... he disturbs me.

I watch these kind of shows to remind me how normal I am in comparison. Oh and to laugh at them crying.

If I'd watched much TV...I might check it. Even if the show sucked...it would still be worth it because of Heidi. She is unbelievably beautiful in my mind.

Everyone's collections from fashion week can be found online. I checked them out and IMO Santino's actually looked really good.

also i like to watch because it looks exactly like architecture design studios..same stuff....when they are talking to the teacher. hehe. just the proffessor coming over and tell you the design is totally not what he was asking for (4hrs. before the project is due!!!!) (think of the client!) the prof would like to come in early before class to make our lives hell!!!!

Tim Gunn is awesome.

I am fairly certain that in more than one episode, after the "panel" decided to give Santino the boot, the producers came in and said "Sorry...the guy is a walking storyline. He stays at least a few more weeks."

Thats the only reason I can think of that they keep his no talent A$$ on the show he clearly had the worst outfit on several shows yet they sent others home. Like last week his outfit was ugly and falling apart yet they sent Nick home who clearly had more talent.

That was brought up in the latest issue oif Entertainment Weekly. Jay (last season's winner) specifcially said that the producers would only step in if there was a tie in the scoring and work it out with the judges.

Santino has talent no question but he's just too much of "My way or the highway" type of personality. The judges have said it on several occassions to him. They love his talent hate his approach/attitude.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has become a victim of Project Runway addiction!
My fiance is addicted to the show and I sat down and watched with her and now I'm addicted too! She then bought the first season on DVD and we started watching that....

I agree that Santino should have been booted many times.

Yeah looks good. I won't get too excited on it yet though until I see some action. It will be VERY hard to bet Hell's Kitchen from a year ago though.

Agreed, Hell's Kitchen was awesome, and there's no footage of this new show yet. Bravo's been doing such a good job with their original programming though, I hope they follow through with this one. I just love cooking shows, making it competitive makes it even better!

I watched it once when I went to friend's house (female) and they watched it. I struggled mightily whether I should leave or not. But I managed to stay until it was over.

Speaking of reality shows on Bravo, did anyone catch their ad for their newest one?

Its obvious how they came up with it. Lets take the 3 most popular things and throw them into one show. What do you get?

The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Agreed. What were they thinking?

The show got really wierd towards the end, the last few episodes - especially that "reunion" show - barf. I'm glad it's over. Will I watch Season 3? Sure. I'm not proud, it's an addiction.

did you watch Kara's (sp?) line online? It was the best of the 4!!!
Daniel should have won.... I think they just didn't give it to him becuase he was too green. NOt enough experience to make it work out. I also didn't like the idea of Chloe winning as she already had a very established business. These other 2 have NOTHING... granted even the losers of this show end up getting "big" I'm sure. Both Daniel and Santino will have offers all over them (business offers I mean).

Yes, I saw Kara's. Yes, it was more interesting than the other 3. But what was with the hats? Strange. Did you read Tim Gunn's blog thing? He said he liked Santino's the best, but he was scared that he would win because it would make Proj. Runway 3 turn into a freak show - Jay and then Santino. Duh, isn't it a freak show anyway? That's why I watch it :D.

I'm sure that Santino and Daniel have both gained a lot from being on this show - even here on a geek board we're talking about them! They should be able to use that publicity to get somewhere in the biz. I'd really like to see Santino doing fashion reviews on TV some time! He's got a mouth and a nasty sense of humor.

I thought it was cute that Chloe was about half as tall as her models.

you mean her BUTT ugly model? Ugh that chick was BRUTAL.

Look at the designers from Season 1. That Austin freak was/is EVERYWHERE it seems. There's no question that a personality like Santino and a talent like Daniel V will land nice jobs in the industry. I don't think Santino should have won. Daniel V ran the tables during the show and his collection was certainly solid and better than Chloe's Chloe's were nice and shes a hell of a sewer and such (I have no idea the techincal terms) but some of that material she picked out...ugh.

Regardless, I still think its one of the best shows and I thank my wife (whom I know is lurking on this forum) for getting me addicted.

/me reapplies for his man-card.

Some Observations...

A) Someone said Chloe didn't care. I think she cared alot about winning ever since Santino called her a good patern maker (one of his big mistakes)

B) I'm glad Chloe won. I thought her collection was the most consistant. Not every piece was great, but most were good. Daniel's had a few good pieces and some crap ones, plus the fit was awful. Santino's looked like the white trash Lingerie collection from K-Mart.

C) I'm glad Santino was the first kicked off last night so there was no doubt about his losing. He was a jerk. That doesn't mean he had to loss, but it made it sweet.

D) Someone mentioned that they might have been keeping Santino on in the earlier shows. He was often in the bottom three, but he lucked out each time because some one had made a slightly greater blunder. So I don't think it was manipulated and as proof look at Top Chef, were the Santino-like character was the first to go home.

E) The reality shows I've actually watched and enjoyed are the ones where the people are after more than a cash prize (as someone mentioned, these people are fighting for their careers) - Project Runway, Top Chef and Celebrity Fit Club

I said E!!! and its entirely true. These people are working for their DREAM job. Even more-so than Apprentice as that's just a circus.
I wouldnt agree on Fit CLub though... those people have (nor ever had in most cases) careers
