Project Fi and the new Nexus phones

Question 1: Will either or both of the two (purportedly) soon-to-be-released Nexus phones work with Project Fi?

Question 2: Why is it so hard to search the forums for "project fi"? Doing so returns moronic discussions on Jeb Bush and Bernie Sanders, somewhat more-interesting discussions about how to dress for work and the siding on some guy's house, and hundreds of other threads that I haven't managed to read yet. So far, I've yet to see how those discussions relate to Project Fi, however.

Don't bother, for gadget freaks, the data is too expensive, many better deals out there. I've canceled it 2X now on both of my Google Voice numbers, never seemed to jump to Sprint, might as well get a TMoble plan with more data, and cheaper.

Project Fi has its own forums, and a Google + page. I just didn't find any value in the plan

I disagree. Not everyone needs 10GB of data every month. Some months I use less than 1GB, some months I use 5GB. Fi is great for people who use a varying amount of data that do not want to deal with overages or capped speeds.

For #1, I assume the answer must be "of course" because otherwise it would make no sense at all. But I haven't seen this confirmed... in fact, it's hard to know much of anything about the soon-to-be-released Nexus phones.

For #2, I find the search function internal to the Anandtech forums to be pretty useless. If I want to search Anandtech, I use Google. Like this:
https://www.google.com/search?q="project fi" anandtech site:forums.anandtech.com

What scares me about Fi is I think I would get too anal about data. Like as it is with my 5GB of AT&T I don't care if I didn't download that new podcast on my wifi because I got the cap space to just get it on the LTE. If suddenly every 100 megs cost me a buck or whatever then that podcast not costs a few bucks if I didn't get it on wifi. That kinda of math will drive me neurotic after a while.

What T-Mobile plan really beats Fi though? The only one I have seen people compare is that hidden $30 plan, but I never considered it because I use more than 100 or whatever minutes a month. Does T-Mobile have an unlimited texting and calling plan that is cheaper overall than Fi?

I posted this before (if you ignore the benefits like international roaming or music freedom)

$30 (1GB) = Project Fi

$40 (3GB) & above = Walmart family Mobile, MetroPCS ( no overages, just throttled data)

low talkers = $30 5GB 100-minute plan

there are other (not as established) companies like HarborMobile and Smartel.mobi, reselling under T-mobile

http://smartel.mobi/pink -> the 10GB/month option, $35/line

HarborMobile hasn't been taking new T-Mobile accounts for a while. It is reinventing itself to be an AT&T reseller. This starts this week, I believe.

I think of it the other way around. When I'm paying for 3GB data and only use 1GB, I feel like I wasted my money by not using the remaining 2GB that month.

They have been saying they will open back up for 2-3 weeks now. Every time the deadline passes they push it back. They are not transparent at all and makes me question whether I want to risk my phone number with them at all.

Find 3 friends and enroll in the TMobile family plan prime they have running

10 GB, unlimited talk, text streaming for $30/line if you have 4 people
