Source?? That YouTube Video? You're actually citing YouTube!?!? laughable...

Here: http://gojapan.about.com/cs/etiquetteinjapan/a/bowing.htm

He's the President. On an Official and Public Visit. One would fully expect he would use a formal bow.

{Edit: In Japan, they described his bow as "Gracious". A litle fact which thoroughly invalidates your position. http://worldfocus.org/blog/2009/11/30/obamas-gracious-bow-receives-thumbs-up-in-japan/8641/

I'm citing the photos in the video. Would you prefer I traced the sources, put them in a nice powerpoint with my University's logo on every slide and e-mailed them to you? I'm sure the relevant content would somehow change. Oh wait... In any case, at least my sources are concrete. Up until now you've just asked me to take your word on irrelevant issues.

And good to know. See how easy that was? You could have effectively won the debate several posts ago. Hope you had fun. Now you've forced me to find more concrete reasons to bash Obama. :p Thanks!

That dribble came from valid news sources, including CBS of all organizations.

The original comment was meant to be inflammatory. I was called out and I was bashing Obama. This is P&N after all. I then got more inflammatory responses in return and, up until now, got even more even after asking for where other people were getting their facts from. After stating my own sources.

In any case, thanks for the info. Good to know. Now I'm forced to come up with some other reason to bash him. ;)

Just for reflection. One of the main purposes of the President is to be head of Foreign Relations. He is the face of the nation as that is part of the powers granted to him by the Constitution. I personally prefer my President to "make peace and not war" to use a saying, when it comes to dealing with foreign countries. To use another saying, "When in Rome do as Romans" is a good example of what I expect my President to do. I do not like my President taking an elitist asshole attitude of "Look at me I'm American and I'm better than you!" when confronting heads of states of foreign dignitaries. It typically rubs those countries the wrong way.

Think of it this way. When you get invited over to a neighbors house for a weekend barbeque do you walk in, spit on the floor, drink all the beer, play grab ass with the guy's wife, and treat the place as if it was your own?

Not sure that's a good question: If her husband were a registered Democrat, irish might do that just to piss him off... D:

YouTube is not a concrete source. One can go there and dig up hate from all over the world and from all viewpoints. It's location doesn't make it any more valid. And if University status is important, it's equally possible to dig up Holocost Deniers, Racists, Eugenicists, and all manner of vile sh*t that happens to have a "University" tag on it somewhere. After all - It's *never* the case that Douchebags with Tenure spout off all manner of venom; such as positing that the people killed at the WTC actually deserved it...

Naaah... That never happens.
