Programs that crash

Post names of programs that crash often on your comp, intresting to see if the same names pop up alot.

I'll go first and chip in for:

Windows Media Player, any OS, always has and prolly always will. Buggy POS.

My ATI dvd player crashes on close sometimes too.

Running Win2K

After normal startup, I'm running:

Windows 2000 Professional SP2
Powerstrip 3.0 beta
Mail Inspector 2000
TClock

Rock. F*cking. Solid. 😛

Internet Explorer. And really, still trying to figure out why🙁
I do use win98se I know, but everything else is just fine, games, dvd, whatever. No problems at all with stability.
btw my system is Duron cpu with Via KT133, if anyone can help me would be great😉

98SE, ME, 2K & XP......No crashes, BSOD's, Locks running stable & solid for quite some time now! Just don't buy/download/use junk proggies or worthless utilities and and anyone without hardware problems should be the same!🙂🙂

<< Internet explorer crashes because it sucks. >>

neither IE(Internet Explorer) or Nutscrape(Netscape) are perfect, they both bug out, they pretty much crash randomly. Some days they never crash, some days they crash every 3 seconds..eh but personaly, nothing wrong on this end, besides that i need more RAM 😛

avichop in win2k...it crashes when going onto the next segment...i dobut it works at all in win2k on anyone's system...works great in win9x!

half-life is picky on ocing...the hw.dll file crashes all the time unless i'm at an extremely safe overclock...never used to tho..

Netscape netscape netscape 4.7 loves to crash and then keep crashing so I can't get rid of the box w/o shutting down the computer. But I don't use it very often, so doesn't bother me.

IE 5.x crashes too (once in a while), but it can just be restarted and works fine.

My ATI TV Tuner software crashes most often in Windows. In Linux I have the most trouble out of Pan.

And for those that say they remove a piece of buggy software, that's not always an option for some people. If there's a program that is alone in providing some type of funcitonality then crash or not it has to stay. Removing it would be crippling to the system.

Internet Explorer on Win 98 SE. About once a day I get that pop up saying general protection error at kernel32.dll and it says hit close, but the stupid box won't close. I just did a clean reinstall and it happened a couple of times alreayd. WTF is this?

nutscrape 4.74 crashes if too many pop-ups hit it at any given moment. it annoys the hell outta me when i'm looking at...umm, yeah, anandtech...

I can't believe no one has mentioned ICQ2000b yet, it's one of the buggiest most bloated apps out there.

Well, I don't use ICQ2000b, I use Miranda ICQ, much better, less bloated crap in it. I hate all the damn advertisements ICQ2000B had in the chat windows. If I tried to remove them, ICQ wouldn't start, so I flipped AOL the bird for screwing up that great program and went over to Miranda.
