Programs on Flashdrive

So I have a Sandisk Cruzer micro 2.0GB flash drive, that includes programs and processes when i plug it into my computer such as: Skype, Avast! Antivirus, and a password protection utility.

I'm used to a typical flash drive without such things, so for any owners out there; Are these programs really worth the space on my drive, or should i just remove them and use it as any other removable storage device? Thanks in advance.

Do you have those programs installed onto your computer(s)? If you do, unless you're using different computers a lot, I would remove them. If you don't install and delete them.

I wouldn't throw them away - back them up to a CD and then erase them if you don't want them taking up space on your Flash drive.

i think you are talking about u3 right? i had u3 on my flash drive and it caused problems on school computers, probably becasue of the restrictions. but it worked very well on my computer and liked it a lot. if i was using this drive out of school i would've kept u3 on teh drvie
