Programs in Win2k Startup...

I downloaded a program that lets me pick what I want to have load up after I log in to my Win2k system (like msconfig in win98).

In the startup I have these: (says its for HKLM/Run)

  • Syncronization Manager (mobsync.exe /logon)
  • Tweak UI (RUNDLL32.EXE TWEAKUI.CPL,TweakMeUp)
  • UpdReg (C:\WINNT\Updreg.exe)
  • Voodoo2 (rundll32.exe 3dfxv2ps.dll,UpdateRegSettings)

They are all checked, and I wanted to know which of these I can disable.

You can disable TweakUI if you don't use it, but since you installed it, you probably want to keep it. The syncronization manager basically syncronizes any offline web pages you may have saved -- if you don't browse offline often, you can safely remove it.

I don't recommend disabling the other two. UpdReg checks your registry for errors and makes a backup of it. Voodoo2 is for your video card.
