Programming or PC/Network Certification

Is it worth it to get a certification in either programming or computer networking? As as recent college grad, will it provide me with the edge I need to get a job? Or is it simply just a waste of time and money?

Currently the only certification I think is worth getting are the Cisco networking ones. Am I right or wrong on this?

cisco is a definite good one to get, even if you are a recent college grad. go for the CCNA.

any other certifications that would be worth it? I know some of them are pretty pricey
