I'm a programming newbie, and there are a lot of languages out there that I don't even know what its purpose is.

So for newbies like me, let's create a list of programming languages, some descriptions should include:

- strengths and weaknesses
- ideal use (for example, javascript is used for the web)
- difficulty level
- popularity (like if it's still in wide use or it has become so obsolete that no one bothers using it anymore)
- usefullness
