Program to Limit bandwidth with ICS?

I was wondering if there's a program that can control the bandwidth used in my ICS, something I can control the others with.
I'm running WinXP Home, as are the other systems. They are all going through a Netgear router, using a cable connection.

But what I need is a way to control the bandwidth of the other 2 machines by controlling them from my machine. Again, all 3 systems are connected to the Netgear Router.

Entry level Routers as well as Client OS' (WinXP) can not control centrally traffic to other computers.

OK, what can I do then?

You get a Linksys WRT54L Wireless Router.

You flash it with 3rd party firmware that has extended QOS control, and you assign Bandwidth.

Here this page linked below would show you a comparison of what each one of the major 3rd party firmware can or can not do.

The first on the Table is HyperWRT, it is the easiest to deal with and it is based on the original Linksys firmware.

If what you would like to do is included in (HyperWRT + Tibor), I would recommend it as a first choice.

What do I use it for?

1. Boosting the Power Output of the Wireless to 65mW.

2. Using IP reservation within the DHCP range.

3. Qos to control Bandwidth usage.

4. Some time configure to WDS.


And most of all you switch ICS Off.😉

Sorry for the delay.

I'll look in to the Linksys. I'm also going to see if there's any modded firmwares for my current router.
Right now all the systems are wired no wireless action going on, yet.

FYI:
I enabled QoS on my linksys router with hacked firmware and it slowed all traffic to a crawl. (Even the stuff I configured as high priority.) Not sure if they have made improvements to this, as it was a year or so ago, but I had to turn it off to get back to reasonable speeds again.
