Program to Determine PSU Efficiency

Hey there, so I have Everest on my PC and that gives me all kinds of wonderful facts about the PC, but all it tells me about my PSU is the Voltage Values. Is there some program out there I can download to tell me more about my PSU's efficiency etc....

Or if anyone has come accross a solid review for a

Rosewill RP500 500W Power Supply:

I know that Rosewill is not a good company, but I've had the PSU for 2 months, and was hoping to be able to download some utility to tell me exaclty what it is or isn't doing.

Thanks!

Software monitoring of the voltages isn't very reliable anyway, so it's unlikely you'll find any kind of software that will reliably give you efficiency ratings. I really wouldnt' keep running with a generic PSU, I've seen first hand what can happen. I had a 400w powmax, and it blew and took my $180 motherboard with it..

I don't know of any software, but this Seasonic Power Angel will let you know how much your PSU is pulling from an outlet.

Nifty. I think I'll take the $35 and invest it in part of one of these:

Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-550 ATX12V 550W Power Supply 115/230 V UL, TUV, CB, FCC CLASS B, CUL - Retail $90.00 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103931
Antec NEOPOWER 480 480W Power Supply - Retail $95.00 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103924

What do you think?

Both of those PSU's are good. Might be an overkill for your system, but don't know since you didn't list any specs. I have Antec 450w PSU's with both of my dual core systems, and an Antec 300w with my SFF pentium-m system.

u'd be better off getting a seasonic s12. they are efficient even at full load..super efficient, and even remain quiet. if u can find the most recent custom pc magazine it has extensive tests. 50/75/100% loads +efficiency. no easy way to do it unless you have the equipment to measure and apply the loads. a great many psu's really don't live up to their max ratings.

Is this the one you are talking about. Would it be able to handle SLi?

There is also this one, but it seems to have some quality control issues.:
