Program to design Flash animation?

Hey Folks.

I need a program to design a flash animation. It'd be a promotional tool (almost like a commercial) and should be rather simple.

I'm looking for a program that will let me do this, and I don't want a program that takes months to learn. Was just wondering if any of you guys have experience with Flah, and what you could reccomend.

I believe that program is only used to playback the animations, not to create them.

I think macromedias program to create the animations is called director, or some such, and is rather complicated. I was looking for simple solution, perhaps a shareware program or some such.
 
No, a flash viewer is used to view flash animations, flash is used to create them, director is something different.
 
You could use Macromedia Flash, or try Adobe LiveMotion. If you do primarily text, there's a program called Swish that works well for text.
