Program to control brightness/contrast

Hello I have a new flat screen which is really good, but it was cheap and as my office chair is a bit low it causes the top of the monitor to look really dark from where i sit.
To compensate for this I was wondering if anyone knows of a program which exists to control gamma/contrast/brightness but for a specific part of the screen (just the top part).. as obviously if i turn up the entire brightness now the bottom part is super bright!

Odd request but any help would be great.

Couldn't you just adjust the position or the monitor? like bending it to face you?

Can't you adjust the tilt of the screen?

Hmm good thinking! I have already adjusted the bracket on the screen itself to face as far down as possible but perhaps if I wedge something underneath at the back of the stand it could help a bit.
