Program Ran out of Memory While Saving

A friend of mine is running an imaging application (don't know the name). She has done work on a file and when she tries to save it, the application tells her there is not enough memory to complete the operation.

She has tried increasing the Virtual Memory and closing out all other applications, but it did no good. She has 1GB or physical RAM so that should be plenty.

Is there anything anyone can think of that will allow her to save without losing her work?

I had that happen with Photoshop before, it's really well documented on their website, I think it had something to do with some profiles. But yeah if it is Photoshop there's a fix on Adobe's site. Just search the FAQ/KB/Help for the exact error message and you should find it.

Not photoshop. Don't know the name of the application right now, unfortunately.
Was hoping there was some general Windows solution to this.

Well the first step would be to find out the name of the app, because chances are it's probably application specific. Thus your best bet would be to check the developers site for more info.
