Program for overclocks -

New programs have arrived the enables us to overclock in Windows.

Ive used ones that let me overclock my CPU and PCI/AGP buses. Now I just need one to overclock my memory on my ASUS K8V since the bios offers nothing.

If you know any off hand, please let me know! I'm a suffering soul.

Curious, why not just in the BIOS? I can do mine in the BIOS, I believe.

For some odd reason, most likely out dated ram, the 1:1 divider sets the ram at 184 MHz instead of 220 Mhz like it's suppose to. The K8V Asus bios has no other option to set the frequency by other than the divider. At least not that I'm aware of I believe.

In the BIOS, on the "Advanced" tab then select "JumperFree Configuration" should list "CPU FSB Frequency". Would probably show 200 MHz and give increments of 1 MHz.

Or am I just off here?

What does the CPU Bus frequency have to do with the RAM frequency? If I leave the RAM settings on AUTO it sets the ram at 110 Mhz.

In the bios I put it on a 1:1 divider and it shows up 2:1 on CPU-Z

So then I put 2:1 in the bios and it shows up 12/CPU 183 Mhz on CPU- Z

I put it on auto it shows up 12/CPU --

I just don't get this wacky set up.

I don't get it either, last time I saw a 12/CPU on the memory it was on the ECS 755-A board and returned it for the ASUS one.

I did change it to 1:1 and it changed my memory to 2:1?

But if I set it to Auto, then it sticks with 1:1 and runs the memory at 200 MHz. I'm off to try setting to 2:1 and see what happens.

Changed it to 2:1 and memory runs at 1:1 but lower CAS, etc. settings....

Only thing I can think of is the placement of RAM. I have mine in DIMM 1 and DIMM 3, middle one bing not filled.
