Program for Ipod

Is there any software out there that doesn't screw with the firmware on the Ipod like EphPod does? Itunes sucks but I've had problems with the Ephpod software before so I don't want to go that way either. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I use XPlay and don't have any problems with it, but you do have to pay for it.

WTF, Itunes is amazing. Even my friend with Limewire and NO Ipod has Itunes. He just converts all his songs.

Itunes does not suck, and i have never had any issues with ephpod

iTunes does blow.
There's a winamp plug-in to transfer songs to an iPod. Haven't tried it yet, as i don't have an iPod yet.

it runs on 40mb, it loads 2/3 background services, it tries to manage my archive

call me a simpleton... i just want something that browses my HD tree and allows me to drag/drop over to the ipod

I use the winamp ipod plugin, works wonders for me.
