Basically, the fan on my laptop is annoying me. For some reason Dell set it so that when a CPU core goes to 50C it automatically ramps up to almost maximum speed until the temperature drops. When I am in a classroom or the library this can be bothersome.
Is there a program where I can set the fan speed RPM? I really see no reason why the fan has to even turn on when the CPU is at 50C for some seconds before going back to 40-45C. The laptop is barely warm and CPU usage is 0-5%.
