Liberals seem to object to profiling because it often is racial, but this goes against the common sense of evolution.

Yellow orange and black signal to many color sited eyes that the animal so clad represents danger, and other animals develop mimicry as a form of self protection. To be able to profile makes evolutionary sense. It is ingrained and natural that we do this. Our brains are pattern recognizing machines that match negative experience with duplicate situations in reality to prevent previous mistakes. Much of this is even beyond conscious control.

The idea that we must not profile people is ridiculous. Who doesn't fear the physical strength of men over women when assessing possible threat just for one of millions of examples.

The problem, of course, is not with profiling itself, but permanent bigotry associated with isolated experiences. One bad apple doesn't make all bad apples bad.

So I would say that to profile with bigotry is a brain defect. To refuse to profile is a brain defect. The rational way to profile is based on mathematical probabilities without stereotyping single individuals.

We create what we fear. If we fear people with blue eyes people with blue eyes will become dangerous to be around. We might be OK with telling them they should wear shades in bright sun.

Can I profile the morbidly obese?

Sounds reasonable. My experience is that most people do this already. Not necessarily knowing the mathematical probability of being victim to a terrorist attack when making eye contact with someone of Arabian extraction, but I think most people generally regard normal-looking strangers as civilized individuals.

Liberals are free to object to whatever they wish because hypocrisy doesn't end there. The thing about bad apples is that everyone is a bigot to something. Meaning that every human being is intolerant and hates something. How it manifests itself through your actions and behaviors is the only importance since it's something that can effect another's pursuit of happiness....that's where the bad apples comes in, those that take action. The one's that claim they are such nice, good thinking people are just lying to themselves because a quick change of environment does wonders for one's view on profiling.

However, it's obvious to say that all humans are defective. Not one perfect person yet and because our brains are so complex, it's impossible to identify defects without comparison when anyone can be prone to said defect depending on a variety of outside factors from development.

You sure can. Do what I do, just keep the profiling to yourself, the important thing is always being aware of anything and everything. You're not a robot, don't let other people tell you how you should or should not think. If the results of your profiling analysis equates to bigotry then logic and experience from other's mistakes proves to you that it's an unsolvable solution since any action taken will only provide your end result of what I call backfire bigotry which is where your hatred makes others hate you...it's kind of ironic but appears to be a vicious cycle without a positive outcome.
Normally, profiling can be very useful. In this case, profiling an obese person when you are starving to death, may tell you that they are hiding some donuts in their pocket.

If you don't agree with profiling, then what you are saying is police shouldn't profile men whenever a crime is committed and instead treat the suspect as equally likely to be male or female despite the fact that men commit crimes at a far higher rate than women.

Just like it wouldn't be a bad idea to watch your back in neighborhoods with high concentrations of african descent since black males have higher rate of violent crime when compared to white males.

Profiling is awesome. Love statistics. We need more of it. If said race is offended then work to change the profile.
