Profile Image request.

Any possibility that something could be introduced to allow you to link to an externally hosted image of yourself via your profile?

I think it would be nice to see what everyone looks like at the click of the mouse.

Would this ever be a possibility or would there be too much to moderate?

Because it takes up space in your sig that you might not want to use, and it would be more conventional if everyone could add their own picture in their profile 😉

yeah...cause you know that no one would actually post their own pic...it would be a hassle for the mods to keep track of

I can think of one exception to the rule though....it should be mandatory for all of our female members to post pics in their profile :camera:

I was suggesting it as a USEFUL thing, not for some pleasurable thing for you.

I can see now exactly why, 1 of the reasons its not included

This is a good idea actually. Wouldn't take bandwidth, and would provide a cool outlet to link to some sort of pic that represents you even if you didn't want to post your own. Gets my vote. 🙂

My guess is that the Mods have enough to do already, without reviewing a bunch of photos to ensure that the people have photographed their face and not some other section of their body 😉 If you want people to be able to see what you look like, just put a link in your signature, or in the "Web Site" section of your profile.

I doubt this well happen guys (it's been covered before), someone has to approve each and every image in the forums to ensure it's not offensive. We don't have the time or manpower for that, also most people would be linking to server that quite frankly are too slow for everyone to have a good experience while trying to use the forum as an information resource, as that is the primary use for this forum.
