Because this computer has mostly been a server of sorts, I only access it through remote desktop. There's no monitor attatched to it.
I was installing some software and my computer crashed...
I thought it was possibly just using up the memory or something, so I let it run while I went out for a bit.
When it never came back, I reset the computer but when I tried to login again, it gave me some errors and created a temporary profile. or something...
So, when I login now, it goes into c:\documents and settings\[Username].[Computer Name] folder instead of just [Username].
It created a whole new profile, like I had created a brand new one, with missing start menu items and everything.
Anybody have any experience with anything like this? Is it possible for me to get back in, or maybe repair the profile? Or am I screwed and will just have to copy my old desktop folders/start menu items to the new folder?
Oh... something interesting I noticed... my system tray clock is gone.
