I might be going out on a limb here but I have a concern. There are professional deal "agents" that run their own sites and get paid by vendors to link/advertise on the agents website. Then these agents come here and link to their "deal" What is the difference between them linking to this "deal" and the actual vendor doing so? They both have a monetary interest in the "deal" and posting here is kind of a way to circumvent the forum policy. In the past I havent seen this as a big deal, but some of these agents have been posting multiple deals from basicly the same company. I do value many of these agents input in the forum, but when the point becomes to push the sales of a paying client over the better intrest of the forum members, be it by cluttering up the forum with multiple posts to the same parent company, or to linking to known poor vendors with questionable "deals" it might be something that could to be looked at.
