Professors who can't mark something wrong on an exam without making a snide remark and using multiple exclamation points

What's up with these guys? Is it a psychological thing? 😕

Somehow I managed to get a 100% on a statistics exam (with the help of an extra credit question) despite the fact that the professor wrote derogatory comments all over the test. :frown:

This thread is INCORRECT, clearly WRONG!!!!!!! I would give it a F but you TECHNICALLY didn't do anything bad.

Math professors particularly get very bent out of shape when someone makes a bad assumption/misstatement in something they consider so 'rudimentary'. Most of these guys have been doing insane math for so long that it's difficult for them to comprehend that people are still taking such basic classes. How could you be so stupid? What pains them the most is that you still know 99% of the material and he has to give you the A. Just chalk it up to grumpy old man syndrome.

stuff like "No it's not!!!" and "Wrong!!!" in humongous letters

Thats it?
I had a teacher once write, "What the hell does that supposed to mean?". Best teacher I ever had. 🙂

You should have written, "That's TERRIBLE grammar" beside it and handed it back.

Unless he actually wrote, "What the hell is that supposed to mean?".

BTW, nice punctuation inside and outside the quotes. WELL DONE!!!

How about no language at all? You must be related to the douche bag.

... or I just don't see the relevance in examining the intentions behind frivilous comments left by a professor. You got the problem wrong and he let you know. Who cares?

I do apologize. I suppose I was too lazy to put in the appropriate punctuation marks and use correct grammar. After all, it is an online forum. Everyone's punctuation should always be perfect.

By the way, what class are you taking that allows you to use "BTW" in a sentence? I've never seen that in a paper or anything of that nature.

Translation: Bite me.
