My Algorithms professor went on a rant yesterday about the state of the education system and job market in China, while teaching about binary search trees. It was thoroughly entertaining, especially given that he is an IEEE Fellow and has been here at least two decades.

My physics teacher hates Republicans, Christians, and the chemistry department. He has some pretty entertaining rants :awe:

edit: And he manages to offend about half of the class while ranting about Christians mostly. Not sure how he still has a job

As long as he shows up for class, doesn't fuck a student he currently teaches, or embezzle money, he can say or do whatever the hell he wants.

As long as he's tenured.

One of my Taiwanese professors went on an anti-communist rant, talked about how communists stole her parents' and/or grandparents' land and the atrocities the reds committed during the communist insurrection, etc. Even delved into communist spies infiltrating American universities posing as students (usually to gather info on the children of prominent Taiwanese politicians).

I love it when teachers rant.

I had a geology professor go on a rant about his reasoning for teaching cryptozoology because it was more interesting than what the class was actually about.
