I went the other way around...shaved (buzzed) my head every 10-14 days since I travel constantly for work and finding a good barber/stylist on the road is nigh impossible. I did that for probably 5 years with the occasional mohawk when I wasn't working for a stretch.

Last year, I decided that since I'm lucky enough to have a great head of hair I should take advantage of it. Started growing it out, went with a (these days) common undercut and found a girl who's on the same page with my stylistically and I get it trimmed every 2 weeks and cut every month.

We'll see how long this lasts...I had forgotten how much time it adds to my routine. Plus I tried 5-10 new hair products since I've never had hair this long before and the stuff I used to use didn't achieve the desired look.

How do you clean up the back of your neck with clippers at home?

I do it by feel... but I shave it all off, there's no styling or getting the taper right. It's right if there's nothing left and I can't feel anything after I'm done.

Since I last posted, I started Bic'ing my head. Sold all my clippers. My blades last 2-3 months, it's amazing -- being bald sucks but hey, making the best of it.

I'd go that route but I hate the smell of burning hair.
