About 6-7 years ago we had a cricket invasion in Texas, businesses would spray insecticides & there would be piles of rotting crickets shortly afterwards, looks like we're in for another invasion.

The worst part was the smell of the banks of rotting dead crickets, you'd pull up to a fast food window, roll it down & want to puke from the smell.

We used to have years in CA with caterpillars that would just cover the ground, make cocoons everywhere and generally make a huge mess. Though I doubt crickets would be much better.
