Here's the email I received today:

"
Dear Registrant,

Thank you for registering for more information on the Siebel-Microsoft Alliance at www.Quickly-Adapt.com. Unfortunately, due to overwhelming website response and interest in the corresponding Executive Productivity Kit, our quantities of this limited-supply offer were exhausted by the time you visited the website. In light of this fact, we will remove the profile information that you provided from our database files, unless you contact us at siebel_microsoft_alliance@email.microsoft.com and request that we retain your information.

However, as a gift of our thanks for your interest, we will be sending you the following components:
· Mini travel mouse
· Retractable Earbuds
· 64MB USB hard disk pre-loaded with the brand new "Siebel 7 Performance
and Scalability Benchmark Study"

This will be shipped to you shortly. Thanks very much for your patience.

We hope you enjoy the study, and continue visiting www.Quickly-Adapt.com for more information on how the Siebel-Microsoft Alliance can benefit your organization.

Sincerely,

The Siebel-Microsoft Alliance Marketing Team

However, you can still review the "Siebel 7 Performance and Scalability Benchmark Study" that you requested by visiting the Additional Research page at www.Quickly-Adapt.com. This benchmark study demonstrates the enterprise performance and scalability of the Unisys server and Microsoft software for powering Siebel 7 under the auspices of the Siebel Platform Sizing and Performance Program (PSPP). Based on these results, it is clear that enterprises do not have to sacrifice the advantages of a single, expandable server environment to reap the economic benefits of standards-based computing with Microsoft and Intel technology.

We hope you enjoy the study, and continue visiting www.Quickly-Adapt.com for more information on how the Siebel-Microsoft Alliance can benefit your organization.

Sincerely,

The Siebel-Microsoft Alliance Marketing Team

OK, this happens too many times. From now on I'll think about whether a too hot deal will be live by the time I jump on. And if it's a free offer... don't waste the precious time (does anyone get them?).

Got the email too.

Microsoft & Siebel, promising cool stuff and then delivering nothing. Ah, the irony.
