I don't understand "Link 2"

Looks like he's calling out everyone that said the Camaro had slim to no chance.

Not exactly a ballerina, but when almost everything else is on the wrong side of 4000lbs now, 3750 isn't too bad. This car might have been interesting if it had been released 2 years ago, now after having seen so many pictures of it for so many years, it's boring.

I think the point of the second link was to rub someone's face in the fact that this car was actually released. Not sure why, the person only said it was unlikely, not that it wouldn't happen.

2010?!? Wtf are they waiting for? I bet it's got an electric engine and they need gas to hit $8 a gallon before they release it. Certainly looks coke-bottle enough for me.

I love it's uniqueness. I just pray that's not a sea of hard plastic I'm staring at.

As much as I loved my Camaro, it's time has long gone. All I see are 3750lbs of epic fail.

The interior is actually a throwback to the original. But then I didn't like that one either.

I noticed something cool in pic 2. There's a torque gauge in the cluster down near the shifter. The top left gauge. I've never seena gauge that measures torque on a car. That's pretty cool.
Unfortunately it does look like a sea of hard plastic though. And that shift knob is butt. Leather wrapped is cool and all but the best they could do was sew the friggin seam right through the middle of the knob? Most leather wrapped knobs are sewn kinda like baseballs. That looks like ass.

I like the interior design more than I thought I would. The spy pics from earlier this year weren't flattering. I still think the interior should have been more modern.

The exterior is just as sexy as the day the concept came out '06. But that's the problem isn't it? Too fucking long between concept to production.

Not surprised (I always assumed this would be a heavy car), but I am highly disappointed (was hoping chevy would address the weight issue). I was thinking maybe I should wait for the new camaro but after reading Motortrend say the v8 version will weigh near 3900 pounds, no thanks!

I would pretty much say the performance of the new camaro will be on par with the current GTO.

Current GTO:
400 hp - 3800 pounds - mid / low 13ish quarter miles

New Camaro:
390 hp to 430 hp - 3900 pounds - mid / low 13ish quarter miles.

All Ford has to do is bump the mustang up by probably 50 hp and keep the weight the same (3500) and it should compete fairly well with the camaro.
