this is really funny. Last week (11/28) I started on all my stuff early (I have been procrasinating on everything this quarter). I had 2 projects due the following week wednesday. 1 paper due the following monday, and a pretty tough 15-20 hour algorithms homework due on thursday. So I started on my projects, and my algorithms homework. Then tuesday night, I got in an accident and broke my left leg. Went into the hospital, came out friday night. Now I'm drugged up on vicodine, and can barely comprehend what I'm reading, but can still code =). I got an extension on my homework and paper though. I didn't ask for one on the projects.

edit:
the projects are programming projects, pretty big too. Last one I did for this class the lines of code came out to ~1800, but I double line between functions.

I have to write some computational fluid dynamics programs as well as some lab reports and a presentation. It's a lot harder than that liberal arts junk, but thankfully we don't have to do excessively long papers.

I am guessing History?

THey always gotta write these crazy long papers at the end of the semester. Mine is only 8 and i figure I have 4 done so really I can pound out 4 more no problem...just gotta figure some more stuff about. I watched all his films and have the ideas down i just need to put them into smart sounding words.

The hisotry seniors have to write a 50 page paper here.

The longest i have written ever for school has been 15..i cant imagine.

I wrote a 32 page paper for intro to psych last year, double spaced of course.

That's nothing I finished writing my 8 page white paper in two hours (including getting research and reading it). I had all semester to write it, I decide it to start yesterday at eleven o'clock at night. A paper is nothing, try to procrastinate doing a project for a CS class (upper division) and you will know what hell is like.

I had a 10 page paper due at midnight last night, to be accompanied by a power point presentation, citations, all that wonderful stuff, written at a graduate level. I finally picked a topic at 9:00 last night. (Research and more research on possible topics until one topic popped up with only 6 sources, 5 of which were high quality. Jackpot!) By 9:20 I had read all of the articles, highlighted key points and laid them out on a counter. By 9:30, I had prepared an outline. Then I went and got a drink, logged into ATOT for a bit to clear my mind... Then, I became a typing fiend. Turned the outline into a powerpoint presentation, sprinkled in a bit of clipart and some visual effects (fade in), chose an appropriate background for the title slide and reference slide and another background for the rest of the presentation, and all was done on time.

lmao, I used to have some major projects due when I minored in programming.
The afternoon before it was due, I'd wander into the computer lab I used, a couple of 2-liters and big bags of chips in hand; the prof would ask, "how's your project coming along?" I'd answer, "I have it all worked out in my head; I'm going to start typing it now." The first couple of times, the prof thought I was nuts and expected my project to fail. After that, he realized it's my "style." By morning, the chips and soda would be gone and I'd have one massive program all debugged (generally only syntax errors.) Always got an A on those projects.

What kind of "major projects" did you have to write? The implementation is not that easy (syntax is only trivial for a CS major), especially when you are being graded on program efficiency. Moreover, it all gets even worse when the specifications look like a five year old wrote them.

my GF did something like 120 pages for a research project to get her Masters. She owns all when it comes to hitting the books.

I have a 5-page term paper to complete, which means I still have some college work to get done.

I have a 2-3 page paper on communism due Tuesday, along with a 4-5 page paper on any movie of choice due on Wednesday (Rough draft)...Id better get started!
