I have been following prices for the Athlon 64 3500+ (90nm) for quite some time now and I've seen it fluctuate from $290 to $350 and right now the lowest price is $279. I have to buy it inevitably within 4 weeks so my question is will the price change drastically (for the better) within that period? I'm aware it's impossible to forsee the future so I'm asking for guidance from people with past experiences (trends of this season, etc.). If the general consensus is to buy now, I will buy it tonight so a speedy response is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

wait and make sure to get one based on the winchester core, as it will run cooler and overclock better. With the fx55 and 4000+ on the market and showing up in more stores the prices on the 3800+ and 3500+ should drop (though theres no gaurantee).

If you can do everthing you want to do on your current box at the level you want there's no downside to waiting. Odds are the upgrade will cheaper in a month.
