I have an Asus P2B-F motherboard with the bx chipset. I presently have a p3-450 and I would like to upgrade to an 800-850 mhz p3. Would my motherboard support the coppermines (p3800E I believe)?

Coppermines run at 1.65 V by default, but if you ask somebody who frequently posts here he would probably say 1.85 V...

I know people who have overclocked Coppermines in the P2B-F just fine. Just make sure you get a good slocket like the Abit. Do not get the Asus slocket.

<Edit> This assumes you are using a socketed Coppermine. I do not know if/how well the P2B-F can overclock the Slot Coppermines. </Edit>

I kind of thought about that more. I know someone who has overclocked it just fine. However, if oblivion says he couldn't. If one person can't there's the possibility you won't be able to either.

oblivion: What was your set-up, was it a slot or socket processor? What happened when you tried to overclock?
