Processor temp rise after disabling virtual memory??

how much did it rise,

and, it could be that the ram is running a bit warmer, increasing ambient case temp... Its pretty far-fetched, but it may be the only explanation.

does performance really increase by disabling virtual memory??

why it will increase the preformance by doing so??
 
ConservativeSwapFileUSage increases performance. I'm not sure disabling it does.

I suspect another culprit is behind the cpu temp rise othre than the disabling of Virtual Memory.

email the maker of the motherboard and see if they can duplicate it and find out why it's doing that? i don't see how turning off virtual memory would make the temp rise 5C

from what the windows said, the performance will increase if enable the VM

You should always leave VM enabled. Just set the min and max size to 256 if you've got 128megs or 256megs of ram. Or try playing around with it like 200min 240max and stuff and see which one is best for your system.
 
i set mine to 300 min/max and ConservativeSwapfileUsage=1 in system.ini with 256 megs of ram and works great. not sure about disabling VM with how windows is with memory
 
Turn back on your VM and set it to 2.5 times your ram for the min and max. Then run defrag. You should be ok then. What it will do is increase your speed somewhat since windows will not keep readjusting the size of the swap file🙂
