I'm trying to specify a system for use with a 3D graphics system (3DS Max) and need advice on CPUs and GPUs. Either a Core2 Duo with a mid range graphics card (Quadro FX3450) or a higher spec processor Core2 Quad with a lower end graphics card (Quadro FX550). A third option is for a core2 quad with a HD2600 consumer grade graphics card. I have no knowledge of these combinations and don't know how to strike the correct balance so would much appreciate any advice.
