That 350 uses a 100mhz bus.. You can't even use it on your mobo... rember.

I can use SoftFSB to raise the FSB of my mobo upto 100 mhz. I tries it with my current processor but its not at all stable

ahh.. I don't think any Intel PD440FX based mobo's can do 100mhz with or without using soft FSB.. I rember SOME LX mobos that could but the FX is even older than the LX. Even the LX mobos that could do 100 made the pci and agp way out of spec because lack of 2/3 and 1/2 multiplyers for the pci and agp.. so I highly doubt that soft fsb is actually adjusting your fsp like you think it is.

darkmajig: hey... my friend and i tried overclocking his gateway 233 system. we did almost the same thing: set the jumper so that we can enter the maintenance mode of the bios, changed the speed to 300, reset the jumpers and then tried booting. when we powered the system on, nothing happened: the computer won't even post. he has quite an old phoenix bios and so there is no such thing as softfsb, and so the only thing we could change is that. we tried booting at 266 in vain. does that mean my friend is stuck at 233? thanx!

I am on an AMD K6 200MHz, integrated sound and graphics, and a 1.96GB hard disk. This is my only system. You don't see me begging total strangers for hardware. Get a life.
