Processor and mobo question

at newegg.com some of there AMD processors are listed as a "PGA" processer. I was just wondering what the PGA thing ment. also the motherboard I'm looking at buying says that is supports duron speeds from 600-850Mhz. and athlon speeds from 700-1.3 Ghz. does that mean I can't use a duron 900Mhz on this board?

No.. I don't know what board it is you're getting (please inform) but if you can run a Tbird on it, you should be able to run whatever speed duron on it. If it's got multiplier adjustments for speeds of 600 to 1300 then it should be fine.

PGA=Pin Grid Array (i think)

means it connects to the mobo w/ pins that go into holes, vs. a processor that fits in a slot.

you should have no trouble running the duron 900 on there, just set it to 9x100mhz and you'll be fine. when the specs for the mobo were made, the 900 duron may not have been out yet.

Joemonkey said it all. PGA=Pin Grid Array and the fact that it only says it goes to Duron 850 is probably because they have not yet editted their information to include the newly introduced Durons.
