Procedure to install new drivers for NVIDIA TNT2 on Win2k

There´s an exe file to update the drivers at nVidia´s site
Is it enough or advisable to run it over the old ones or is
better to uninstall the old drivers previously ??

Furthermore, when it says disable any antivirus protection
having norton antivirus 2001 is enough to just disable
autoprotect option ?? Or is better to kill the services
of the antivirus ??

Just updated my drivers in W2k yesterday. Downloaded the exe file and saved it on the hdd. Disbled auto protect in Norton 2001 and then ran the exe. Worked great!

I had to upgrade as I just installed W2k from 98se. Could not get some games to work in 3d, but all is well now. I don't know if you will see an improvement over your present driver but upgrading to current drivers does not usually cause any problems. In fact it helps with most newer apps.
