problems with xp

I have system restore turned on but it will not update, I have to do it manually which works ok.

If I go into control panel, admin tools when I click services the window comes up but I get a script error window for an xp dll. if I click it away I can use services ok.

I want to run system file checker, only problem is it keeps asking for a xp sp3 cd which I dont have. Is there a way around this? any suggestions appreciated thank you

Thanks, I reinstalled sp3 and the services script is gone so hopefully all is fixed.
