Problems with WinXP install

Hi,
maybe anyone ran into this problem. I've got about half way through installing XP (clean install), after it finished copying files, it reboots and boots into XP setup. Then it tries to read the CD again, and gives me CRC error for F:\i386\asms. So, I figured my CD must be bad, I copied the whole CD over to my HDD, and re-ran the setup. Now, whenever it gets to that point, it still comes up with some error trying to read i386\asms file (it's actually a folder). Anyway, the folder contains a bunch of subdirectories and some *.cat files. All files load from the CD (so, it's not the scratch on CD or anything like that). Had anyone ever ran into the problems like that? It's really dissapointing, since I am pretty sure it's not the CD that's bad...

Maybe someone can send me the whole ASMS folder from the i386\ folder of their install CD. The whole folder (asms) is only a little over 5Mb. The version is XP Pro 2600, but I think other versions might work as well... at least it's very easy to try.

Thanks for any help,
Dmitriy

I had the exact same problem, I later found out that I burned the CD using track-at-once instead of disc-at-once. I reburned the CD with disc-at-once and it worked fine.
