I have a computer running XP home, with a cable modem attached. Another computer running Win ME.....

Protocols/clients on XP machine installed:

Client for MS networks
File and printer sharing for MS networks
QoS packet scheduler
NWlink Netbios
Nwlink IPX/SPX/NETBIOS coampatible transport protocol
TCP/IP

on ME

Clinjet for Ms networks
IPX/SPX
Netbios - suport for ipx/spx
tcp/ip
file and print sharing for ms networks

Now here is what is going on:

On my XP machine I can do/see anything I want on the ME machine

On the ME machine, I get the shared internet connection but NOTHING else. When I try to click on entire network I get an error that says :

Unable to browse network : This device does not exist on network

Ok, the Workgroup names are set to the same: WORKGROUP I have verified this.

Now, ive run the network wizard fromthe XP Cd on the ME computer like it says to do... What is going on?

Appreciate ANY help..

thanks

do you have a username / pass setup on the ME machine?

if so, do you just push "cancel" on boot up instead of putting a password in?

I did read the fAQs, but didnt help. They are not similiar enough. I used to use 2k, but XP doesnt require a user account and such...I had this set up and working once, but for some reason it just stopped
