problems with winlogon.exe...

it only started recently, after a bunch of adware entered my computer and i had to remove it. pretty much after windows load up, round 10minutes after, the computer gets extremely slow. when i go into task manager, it seems winlogon.exe is takin 99% of the cpu and making everything pretty much frozen. i leave my computer today on and went somewhere for an hour, after i returned, it was normal again, so i'm not sure what was causing the initial slowness....

Have you checked msconfig? Even if you remove spyware, it can come back when you reboot if it is listed in msconfig.

Perhaps it is network related, did you try it in safe mode? Also, various antivirus programs ("cough" norton "cough") can cause issues similar to yours.
