problems with windows update

I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. When I got to windows update, all I get is a thanks for using windows update screen, not the usual scan for updates. If you have a solution or are having this problem any help would be appreciated. thanks

I've seen this a lot lately. It seems to work better for me if I go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com from IE rather than use the shortcuts. Sometimes, just trying again works too.

I've had problems with Windows Update when going through a proxy.

Try disabling it if you are currently using one (if it's set to auto-detect it could quite possibly be using your ISP's).

Other than that, not sure what to suggest.
