Problems with Vortex 2 simply.....stopping?

The first few minutes after windows boots, it has sound, then, it just stops.

Using driver that XP installs automatically.

It's a diamond vortex 2.

It has known issues with Windows XP and AMD chipsets. Save yourself the pain and buy another sound card.

btw aureal was the best sound card company imo. its products, at the time, were supperior to creative. cant beat HL in A3D on a Aureal card. the are like the 3dfx of the sound market to me
