Problems with Update Rollup 2 with HP Media Center M1170N

I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on trying to fix the problem that I will describe here.

I have an HP Media Center M1170N PC with a Hauppauge TV tuner in it, and since I installed Update Rollup 2 for Media Center Edition, the Media Center applicaton that comes with Media Center Edition tells me that I do not have a TV Tuner installed when I click on LiveTV in the application.
The DVD player function in Media Center works fine, and so does the Online Spotlight function when I try to play media through it, it's just the LiveTV function that has stopped work and says "No TV Tuner Installed".
I have already tried re-installing the original TV tuner drivers that came with my PC, but that doesn't even fix the problem. The strange thing is, even with Update Rollup 2 installed, the SageTV application that I also have works just fine. Also, when I uninstall Update Rollup 2, the LiveTV function in Media Center starts working again, but I have to have it installed, since I am planning on getting an XBox360 and using it as a media extender.
I have been told by HP that there might be a conflict between SageTV and Media Center, but I uninstalled SageTV and there was no salvation there, the Media Center application still told me "No TV Tuner Installed".

Does anyone have any clue to a fix for this problem, or maybe can point me in the right direction?
I have already contacted HP themselves about this problem, and Microsoft as well, but they have said that it will take about 72 hours to get any answer back, and my parents are getting a little pissed that they have to use a 15-day SageTV trial to watch TV on this PC.

I had the same problem with Rollup2, and I think many others have also. Rollup2, as far as I can tell, is pretty bug-ridden. I had to uninstall it completely. I would wait to install it until you hear from the HP or MS support people, since you won't have the 360 for a couple more weeks anyway. There might be some workarounds for it, but I don't know them...perhaps www.thegreenbutton.com might have them. Good luck.

I installed the Update Rollup 2 in my 2005 MCE computer. I had to run the TV setup program again to get the TV working again. No problem after that.
