problems? like what?
heat?

you can't really experience too many problems normally.. either the case doesn't cool well enough, or it cools well enough. Aside from that, not sure what kind of problems one could have.

well, I guess its' a Thermaltake product, it can't be that good.

Only problem I've had with mine so far is that I can't find an nForce 4 Ultra to put in it......other than that it's been just fine ;)

I've heard motherboard installations and psu interference woes.

Do you think a Zalman CNPS7000A could fit comfortably?

I'm not really sure how people are pulling this "thermaltake sucks" garbage out their butt. I've used several thermaltake products in the past and recently bought this case. It not only looks great, but if you check some benchmarks, it's one of the very best for cooling as well. It's really up to sound I guess, this case is very quiet ( that's by my standards though, some people are real "sallys" when it comes to noise).

Compared to most antec cases, the tsunami looks much better, is a little louder, cools better

I was able to install everything with no problems whatsoever ( including a thermaltake PSU and HSF). Was able to OC' a a64 2800+ to 2.45GHz, and power that,a 6800GT, 3 HDs, and DVDwriter with it as well. The PSU was more than enough to power and overclock all of that and was much cheaper than the overpriced antec PSUs everyone suggests.

Well, not sure how much credibility you have since you just said antec power supplies are overpriced. (you get what you pay for) well, i happen to know that Thermaltake power supplies are not good quality, thus making Antec power supplies appropriately priced in my opinion. Why does Thermaltake suck? I just read reviews, and listen to people's experiences. This case is a ripoff of the Wavemaster, and conveniently the only good looking case Thermaltake has. the other Xaser butt ugly trash is a rip off of the Antec case, wow, holy original Thermaltake!

Thermaltake has virtually no appealing products to the average person, I think if you think Thermaltake products are aweosme, then you are the type of guy who puts a fart can on your civic, along with chrome hubcaps and LED washer nozzles. To me that's how the Thermaltake cases look.

WoW! tempers...it's just a computer components.

I have a Tsunami case and it is an improved wavemaster (better cooling). Frankly, one of the best values for your money if you are looking for a non-cheesy, stylized aluminum case with 120mm fans, that cools well and has a door that locks (keep two year old fingers away). Most of them come with thermaltake fans installed (too noisy for me) and i can feel the air flow through the case even with the front door closed.

It's not a Lian Li with brushed aluminum everywhere, and the front panel behind the door is made of plastic (same color and smoothness as the sides and top of the case though)while the door itself is very sturdy. If you are looking at mounting four or five HDD and a 6800 Ultra, you will have some space issues. If you like pulling out your PSU every week, it's a bit painful as you need to disconnect the top panel audio/usb connectors (30 seconds) to get it around a bracket, but other than that, everything fits well and nothing is flimsy.

Overall, nice case for what I was looking for.

I do agree that the rest of Thermaltake's cases are oogly.

LOL THX!! Just hope the Zalman will fit in my p4c-800-e deluxe1!!

And what are the exact implications of having the 90mmright above the heatsink, does it lower cooling performance?

Oh...for all of you with the case I forgot to ask: is this case as loud as Anandtech claims it is? (52dB) I don't know...it doesn't seem like it would be that loud.

from what i've heard it is pretty quiet. I dont know how it can be that loud. 21 (they may be a bit higher) db fans with whatever else u have in ur case. The front pannel weighs over 6 pounds, and if you dont have anything in ur case that is over 52 db's, then wouldnt this be...well...impossible to get it that high? Anyways, i read a lot of reviews on this and this is the only review i've found that said it didnt have enough space and was loud.

LMAO!!! I'll have to think of them as fart can's now... I always looked at it like they stuck a lawn mower engine under the hood and thought it was 'cool'... That, or were actually looking to get the same sound effect as RC airplanes...

Im running the TT Tsunami case (silver) with a zalman heat sink. Everything fits fine, no problems. Cooling is great. I bought my case about a month ago, and read a ton of bad reviews, I love the case. Although I think its pretty retarded that it doestn come with a PC speaker.:disgust:

I think Lian-Li cases look like someone took a crap in a box and painted it, but that's just me.

I also have the Tsunami Dream case and have no complaints. Compared to my CoolerMaster case with 5 80mm fans, it's MUCH quieter. Of course I'd assume that since there's only 2 120mm fans and an 80mm side fan on the thermaltake. Paired up with an Antec NeoPower, it's working really well.

However, that being said, I've been thinking of replacing the 120mm fans with Panaflows or something else to make it quieter.

the usb/firewire connection in the top middle of the case can be irritating if you switch PSUs a lot. Case fans are very audible, but are replacable, black TT scratches/fingerprints pretty damn easy, but if you can stand these little things, the case is pretty good.

Believe it man!

My son has the Tt SViking case which uses 2 120mm fans. (same model as the Tsunami's front fan)
Using the built-in fan controller on full they are intollerably loud. (probably >52db) Turned down to their lowest setting they are still too loud.

I bought him 2 Globe fans that he will get for Christmas to remedy the hurricane.

BTW- Thermaltake makes some very powerful fans, but I have never used one that could be considered quiet even though they claim that they are.

I have to agree about Lian Li cases. I know there is such a thing as being 'simplistic' but Lian Li's look like a plain black/silver metal box.

The only fan in the case that is "loud" is the front 120. I did a fan by fan test to find the one making all the noise! I put that fan on a controller with the RPMs at about 1200, and the sound was cut in more than half and the temp of the case and the CPU both stayed the same. Once again, turning down the front fan RPMs did not affect the case/CPU temp and the sound went way down! As quiet as a Lian-Li 65! I've had it side by side with that case at a Lan Party, so the comparison is valid with more than one witness.

The only other fan you might need to control in the case would be your CPU fan. The rear 120 runs super quiet and pumps a load of air through the case.

I dont know what xbassman is talking about it being so loud. Check whats in your computer. I have a BFG 6800gt with the new cooler and a Zalman 7000a AlCu with the stock fans and it's quieter than my mom's compaq. The only wat AT woulda gotten 52db's is by putting some huge fan in it. That reading is way off, it's very quiet. I have it sitting 2 feet away from my head now with all fans on full blast and it's not bad at all.

I just recently got the Tsunami, and have been very happy with it. I haven't seen the internal temp, at load, get above 75 degrees. It is a bit louder than some cases, but not intolerable. About half as loud as the Xaser III that I once had (for a very short period of time.)

You can tell that a lot of users on this board have different definitions of quiet.

I have yet to install the Globe fans into my sons Tt SViking case. (The Tt120mm fans are definately the source of the most noise) I would be happy if it comes in as quiet as my personal box which has 6-80mm case fans. (They aren't even particularly quiet ones). The case is of a good design though. It's a Super Flower Lian-Li knock-off.

My wifes case is the quietest in the house w/ 4-80mm Panaflo 12L's on a Sunbeam controller and a Fortron 350 FSP-350-PN.
