Hi Guys,
Using XP, all of a sudden task manager stopped displaying any sort of window at all, it's not running in tiny footprint mode, ie: double clicking in the task bar doesn't fix it.
All I get is a tab in the task bar with a picture of a computer screen and the CPU usage logo in the system tray, I can't check performance, applications or services.
This sucks........if anyone could help I would be eternally greatfull!

Mark.

Thanks Blizz but no luck. It's a great site though, thanks for the link.

Can anyone else come up with a solution?

Double click on any grey area in the task manager itself. Not the taskbar.

There is no task manager to double click on, that's my whole problem! All I have is the task bar button and the CPU resource meter in the system tray.

Help please?

Double click on the icon next to the clock ...it should appear ...click options and uncheck "hide when minimized"

My bad! I somehow read that it was running in tiny footprint mode... RVNs suggestion should work I would think.
