Problems with Sygate Personal Firewall

Im having problems with Sygate Personal Firewall. After installation and restart Im ready to use Sygate and I connected to the net. The first problems were initial slow downs, then I cant access the net even Yahoo messenger! I tried double clicking the system tray icon but nothing happens, no window. I even tried opening Sygate from the Startmenu but still no window.. Im quiote dissapointed but is there a way to fix this?

BTW I tried Sygate because I think (according to Syagte's site) Sygate is user friendly like Zone Alarm, recently Im using Kerio.
