Problems with some installers

When I moved to WinXP, an error message became frequent:
Error1606 : Couldn't reach network location C:\Documents and settings\All Users\Desktop
This occours when I try to install some programs : Alcohol120, Industry Giant 2 ...
All programs have Wise installation wizard, and none let me get to the installation, because WinXP blocks me with this message all the time. Could anybody help ???

What user account and you logged in as? Does it have administrator rights?

Good idea, but I have admin rights, and I'm the only user.
