Problems with SLI load bar

I have just finished my 7600gs sli HTPC and I am having some slight problems. I get a decent boost using sli (3dmark 03 jumps from 10k to 16500) but I cannot get rid of the horizontal load bard despite disabling it in the nvidia control panel. (I havent rebooted between the settings) when playing games (rogue trooper, battle for middle earth)

Anyone got any suggestions?
