problems with "run".

when I go into run, and type in "command" to open up MS-DOS it gives me an error message: "the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose close to terminate the application."could somebody help me out with this please.

COMMAND should still work on XP, dunno about W2K. CMD is better though. Maybe its finding and old command.com.

In XP, check under System Properties and check Under Advanced -> Environment Variables see if the path lists C:\Windows\system32 and C:\Windows 1st

I got it to work by going into the Windows folder and went into repair and copied the autoexec.nt and config.nt files into the system 32 folder.
