problems with RealTemp not starting

I've had this happen on a couple of machines (win7 x64).
set it to startup as a task during logon and it works fine for a few months.
after awhile it just doesn't run anymore. it doesn't start up, you don't get the temp in the task tray.
when you check task mgr, it's running but the app doesn't appear anywhere.

I had to use the windows task scheduler to start Realtemp at login and then select a tickbox to run Realtemp with highest privileges. Here's a good thread with pictures: http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=617710
